About Us

Kings Cultural Center is under Kings Regional Traditional Folk Arts which is a 501(c)3 public not for profit organization founded to expand the artistic opportunities for the youth of Kings County and surrounding communities.


Kings Regional Traditional Folk Arts was formed to foster and promote traditional and multi-cultural folk music/dance, and related performing arts. Kings Regional Traditional Folk Arts seek to strengthen and advance organizational and individual initiatives in folk music and dance through Education, Networking, and Development.


Education: To increase understanding of the rich variety, artistic value, cultural and historical significance, and continuing relevance of folk music and dance among educators, media, and the general public.

Networking: To provide a bridge to and from folk music and dance organizations and needed resources with the emphasis in youth participation.

Development: To support and encourage the development of new and existing youth grassroots folk music and dance organizations.
